Some Bookish Facts

I wanted to shoot my shelves or something but I've been writing. So here are little cranes from way back then.
So this blog is almost 3 months! I've been sucking at keeping up with this blog lately because all I can seem to do after school is just lie down and rest, and then, proceed to do school work. But since there's going to be a week-long break before the second half of the semester, I thought I'd share a few things about my relationship with books. Here are some bookish facts about me!

The Bane Chronicles

"Love did not overcome everything. Love did not always endure. All you had could be taken away, love could be the last thing you had, and then love could be taken too." -The Bane Chronicles, Saving Raphael Santiago

This month's book blurb is for a book I waited 2 years before gathering up the courage to pick it up from the bookstore because of boredom.

And hell yeah, every single peso was worth it.

The one when the Shadow World is on TV

YES! The Shadowhunters TV series is finally around and kicking on its first and second episode in Freeform, which as we may have all known, was ABC Family. The pilot aired on January 12, which was a dreadful Tuesday for me because I had matters to work on at Uni. I had to stay away from tumblr (and even a bit of twitter too) to avoid seeing GIFS and edits and etcetera. I wasn't able to watch it until Wednesday, just because I had to recover from the crankiness.

On #ShadowhuntersTV casting (so far)

It's not the right time to be writing something like this (I have three essays and research papers and a bunch load of exams in two weeks) but hey, it certainly is the right time to post something like this.

I haven't talked about it for quite a while but our favorite Mortal Instruments gang for upcoming Shadowhunters TV series is finally casted! It was a great feeling to know that the we were having a series to adapt our beloved series, and it feels so much better to know that the production team is hands-on in making this series to life. What more, we're having a superb cast! Have you seen the perfection of these people?!!?!?!

Shadow World, Love and Misadventures

We have this Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy, and Annabeth and Percy thing. But the best kind of love I’ve read so far is about the love Tessa Gray, Will Herondale, and Jem Carstairs. They are the three main characters from Cassandra Clare’s The Infernal Devices.

I am aware I just wrote three characters—a love triangle? Yes. But did the boys hold grudge for each other since they learned of their feelings for Tessa? No. Certainly not. But that wasn’t because Will and Jem are parabatai (shadowhunter term). It was because Jem loved Will, and Will loved Jem in a special way. It’s hard to explain how the parabatais loved each other, but I guess that’s love—unexplainable. Tessa loved both of the boys romantically, but in the whole duration of The Infernal Devices, you would know that those three of a whole held some kind of unexplainable, deep, overwhelming kind of love as a whole.
